ISSN 2686-2204</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions is a journal in the core of oral traditions with anthropolinguistic framework. This journal is under Asosiasi Tradisi Lisan (ATL) Sumatera Utara cooperate with Institut Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Indonesia (IPMI).</p> <p>Article contains field study, case study, library research, and others. The article must be relevant with current issues in the scope of oral traditions including study of language, linguistics, literary, and cultural values.</p> <p><strong>Aims and Scope:</strong></p> <p>Aims and Scope: Journal of Oral Traditions is on English writings in the core of oral tradition with anthropolinguistic framework by It aims to publish high-quality researches and outstanding creative works combining the broad fields of literature and linguistics on the same intellectual platform.</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions will contain a rich collection of selected articles on issues that deal with current issues of oral traditions including study of language, linguistics, literary, and cultural values. Subjects of debates and discussions will encompass the socio-economic facet in the world in relation to current academic investigations on literature, culture and linguistics.</p> <p>Those different segments that will be featured in each issue of Journal of Oral Traditions are: (i) critical writings on literary, cultural and linguistics studies, and (ii) creative writings that include works of prose fiction and selections of poetry.</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions invites scholars and writers to submit high-quality written works presenting original researches with profound ideas and insightful thoughts that could potentially inaugurate avenues to new perspectives in the fields of language, literature and culture. They may be in the forms of critical examination of current theories in linguistics or literature, unification of two or more scholastic assumptions in these disciplines or production of any work that might fall under the segments previously mentioned.</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions is an internationally-refereed online journal that is published biannually in October and April.</p> <p>Abstracting and Indexing: Journal of Oral Traditions is currently indexed in Citefactor, Google Scholar BASE, OneSearch, PKP, and infoBASE.</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions is a member of the Indonesia Scientific Journal Database (ISJD).</p> <p><strong>Peer-review Policy:</strong> Journal of Oral Traditions is a peer-reviewed online journal, published biannually in June and December. All submissions to the Journal are read and evaluated by at least two reviewers before a publication decision is made. It is the Journal’s policy not to release the identity of reviewers to authors or other referees during and after the review process. Likewise, referees are advised to treat all materials associated with the review process as confidential. Although referees may consult and seek advice from other researchers or colleagues, the referee must ensure that the confidentiality of the material sent for adjudication is maintained. Moreover, referees should avoid using any material provided to them as part of the peer-review process for their own research.</p> <p><strong>Ethics Statement:</strong> The Editorial Board of Journal of Oral Traditions is committed to meeting and upholding standards of ethical behaviour at all stages of the Journal’s publication process. We subscribe to the guidelines set up by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) with regard to the expectations of editors, peer-reviewers and authors.</p> <p>Journal of Oral Traditions uses the Turnitin software to screen manuscripts for any unoriginal material. By submitting the manuscript to the Journal, the author agrees to any necessary originality checks that the manuscript may have to undergo during the evaluation or the production process.</p> <p>It is the responsibility of the author to obtain copyright permission where necessary, for using material from other sources. The Journal and its publisher, IPMI Publisher, do not bear any responsibility for verifying copyright permissions provided by the author. Any breach of copyright laws will result in rejection of the submitted material or its retraction after publication.
